Client testimonials are special for a number of reasons. Firstly, working with clients in an ‘open-ended’ way, means endings don’t come around all that often. And then when they do, there’s of course absolutely no expectation or pressure on my clients to do or say anything. But, when I do receive testimonials, it means so much. Whilst of course it’s lovely to hear how clients have benefited from our time together, more than anything else, it allows future clients to connect with the experiences of other clients.
So, whether it’s your first time seeking therapy or you’re looking to find a therapist who you really connect with, my hope is that in seeing what others have to say, it enables you to feel a little bit more confident about reaching out.
And to my clients who have found the time to write these, I thank you for the help this will give to others.
“I have tried therapy several times in the past, both for self improvement / fulfilment and behavioural / addiction issues. From the first session, Ed has been warm, welcoming and helpful. He has a knack for really making me feel listened to, and is always curious and able to remember and raise points from previous sessions where appropriate in order to get the most out of sessions.
On that point, Ed is really adept at knowing when I have a need to speak at length and just be listened to, and when it makes more sense for him to use cues to lead the conversation a bit more, in order to get the most out of our time. Even when I’ve felt like it is difficult to gear up for a session within my busy schedule, I’ve always come away feeling better for it, and excited for the next one.
After some months, Ed has helped me to improve both the way I deal with the issues I had originally sought out therapy for, and also my wider attitude to life in general. I have moved from dark thoughts and despair to optimism and enthusiasm, and that is in no small part thanks to his input and guidance along the way. I’d recommend him to anyone seeking out this sort of help, with an emphasis on his sensitive and warm approach, and I myself look forward to continuing to work with him on any issues or obstacles that might arise in the future.”

“As someone going through a difficult time in their life, I was looking for a therapist who would be able to help and guide me through this. I’m quite an anxious person so it took me a while to reach out but when I found Ed I couldn’t have felt more at ease, and he made me feel so glad that I finally asked for help!
He’s helped me immensely, not only with the current difficulty I’m going through, but also on a much deeper level. He’s helped me make sense of so many things in my life and given me strategies to help cope and manage by myself.
He’s incredibly warm and welcoming, and created a safe space for me to be open and honest without fear of judgement. I cannot thank him enough for all the ways in which he’s helped and supported me and I will be going forward with a greater understanding of myself and the ability to take control of my own life.
I’d highly recommend Ed to anybody looking for a wonderful therapist - he’s simply the best!”
